Haircare can be high maintenance, and none more so than when you have demanding, neeeedy hair that requires a load of specialist product - you know what i'm saying if you've got coloured hair, damaged hair - or even if you're just a product fiend. (GUILTY OF ALL THE ABOVE)

eSalon - A Match In Haircare Heaven & Posted To Your Door

Whether you like it or not, Christmas is coming. All the TV adverts are out, it's hats and gloves weather - I've even got a tree and negotiated with Mr FV the earliest date I can put it up (29 November - but I'd have it up now if it were up to me!)

With a whole range of Beauty Boxes available, it's really difficult to get the perfect one - there's always one product in the box that you're not keen on right? So why not make your own? I saw this great tip on Boots.com  about making a personalised Beauty Box/Hamper and decided to give it a go.

Here are the instructions I followed. Watch my video on YouTube and see how I got on! Keep reading for details on how to win the box!

VIDEO: Forget Beauty Boxes, Make Your Own Personalised Beauty Hamper!

How do you pick your perfume? Do you see an advert, go smell it, and decide whether you like it? Do you just grab the prettiest looking bottle off the shelf? Or do you get recommendations from friends or magazines and then try it?

For me and many others out there, it's basically ALL OF THE ABOVE. But what if you'd like to buy a perfume for someone else? (Being the very generous individuals that you are, you lovely lot) Gifting perfume is normally a no-no unless that person has asked for it or if you know that person really really really well right? Well think again..!

Today's post is about an ingenius little gift box called Vivabox from The Perfume Shop. Basically, the gift box comes with several little samples of perfume for you to try - and then, once you've picked your favourite, there's a gift voucher for you to get the full-size bottle! Perfume gifted, easy.

How To Pick Perfume: Vivabox Gift Box from The Perfume Shop

A thing you should know about me is that I love presents. Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries aside, I'll find any excuse to get gifts.

And I mean ANY excuse. We're talking half birthdays, 6 month anniversaries and of course passing any sort of test.  BTW Eye tests are totally included (especially if you're blind-as-a-mole like as me - any sign of stable eye strength calls for a huge celebration to me!)

So as much as I hate to admit it, 2013 is fully underway - can you  believe it's MAY next week? The fond memories of Christmas are gone, I've had my birthday and it's another 6 months until the next present heavy session. BOO HOO.

So what can we do about it?

One of the present-joys I discovered last year was that of the blogger swap. A.k.a bloggers give presents to other bloggers and they get one back!

Present fans, are you listening? You're getting a great deal here. Other than anniversaries how often do you get to buy a present and have someone guaranteed to buy one back for you eh??

Want one of these?

But, its not just about the presents of course.

It's also a great way to meet new people and make new pals. My first ever blog swap was with the lovely Beka from Beka's Beauty (a lifestyle and beauty blog) and she was such a doll - she sent some amazing products which I hadn't used before and LOVED them. And we're now social media friends. Ahh friendsss.

So how does it work?
