Everyone has a weakness and when it comes to my weakness, all I see is blue circles.... Blue circles, white writing - yes my friends, I'm talking about the siren call of a shop named Boots.
I don't know what it is but I can't go to Boots without buying more than I intended to. Even if it's boring crap like mouthwash (dull yet ESSENTIAL) , I always end up spending more than I planned! Please tell me this happens to you too?! Ho wait, perhaps you have an inkling of self control.
Given my weakness, imagine how happy I am when it comes to special offers and the latest 3 for 2 mix and match cosmetics is one of my all-time favourites! Give me ALL the cosmetics, gimme gimme gimmeee.
So, what did I get?? Recognise any of these?

No7 Lash Impact Mascara.
First up is the new No7 Lash Impact mascara - how cool is the packaging??! Reminds me a bit of Christmas though - or Dorothy shoes... How good is it on your lashes though?

Picture this. It's Saturday afternoon and you're going out-out at 8pm.
It's now 5pm. Do you:
a) Decide to be productive, do useful things and live your life for the next 2 hours?
b) ...Start getting ready?
Any normal person chooses a)
However, any pampered product-obsessive with nothing better to do puts a hair mask on, throws a bath bomb in the tub, puts her hair in rollers and puts a full face on.
And that is what Zoe Dubs did next...

So Saturday's post already covered the Lush bath-time bliss - I'm here to talk about hair. And BIG hair at that.
Let's go back to basics.

Going out-out? Go BIG with Babyliss Heated Rollers and Bumble&bumble
There comes a time in eternity when history fashions itself a revolution. This age, my friends, is the age of the evolving lipstick! From bullet to wand to stick, lipstick formats are constantly evolving and my new favourite? It's the crayon.
Now Clinique werent exactly the first to bring this out but I'd say that the reams of lip crayons available in the beauty aisle now are largely a product of "chubby stick feverrrr".
And today's review is one of them! The well named Sexy Mother Pucker gloss stick by Soap & Glory.
First of all - 10/10 for the name. Nice one Soap&Glory. I love a good pun.

Big lips are on my list.
My "I wish I had, but i don't..so I'll fake it" list.
You know what I'm sayin' bluds - my eyelashes aren't reeally this long, my hair hasn't actually been washed today - it's all just one big illusion isn't it?
An illusion aided by a series of products who I like to think of as teeny tiny magician's assistants in a bottle.

Today's lippie, the Triple Core 3D lipstick by Oriflame is definitely one to add to my directory of illusion creators. I met the lovely team behind Oriflame cosmetics at the #ldnbloggersparty blogger meet up last month and they kindly sent me this little baby to try out..
So what did I think? Bullseye or missed the target?

Mascara - the bread and butter of the makeup world. Finding the right one is tricky though and, like Prince Charming, you gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find The One!
I've been through my fair share of frogs and this is the first mascara that I've bought again and again. And guess what? It's not even a premium brand....
It's the Volume Flash The Max Bold Curves - Extreme Volume & Lift Mascara and boy oh boy it is EXTREME.... it is BOLD, it is THE MAX!
Ahh Rimmel, beloved of teenage girls and a staple brand in every beginners beauty bag. I've most likely (aka definitely) got a 10 year old blusher with a Backstreet Boys sticker stashed away somewhere in my room....
Old 90's bands aside, Volume Flash mascara does what it says on the bottle - volume and lift... in a flash! I've got lashes straighter than a spirit level and this mascara gave me great curl and volume WITHOUT eyelash curlers.
ARE YOU FOR REALS?

Taking it to THE MAX with Rimmel Volume Flash Bold Curves Mascara
I, like many girls, am on the hunt for the perfect....man? Job? House?
Red lipstick.
Pillar box, fire engine, blood red, ruby - why do all these shades look amazing in the flesh but just not on me?
This lipstick, S502, was one of my encounters in the quest to find `the One' and although the colour wasn't my happy-ever-after, I just HAD to blog about our time together.

Are you The One?: L'Oreal Color Riche Boosting Serum Lipstick
Its the morning after the night before and last night some serious backcombing sins were committed! That moment when you know you just won't be able to get the knots out of your hair the next day, but you want just a teeny bit more oomph?
And so it was for months, I used to dread brushing my hair the next day just in case I broke the brush or lost it in the small hedgerow that my hair had become.
But then I met the Tangle Teezer which, although looks like a giant version of what I used to brush my Barbie horse with, is actually pretty darn good!

History Lesson
This was actually taken to the Dragon's Den back in like 2008 or something and, can you believe it, they actually rejected it! Also Deborah Meaden profusely denied the fact that her hair was coloured - can't believe that either..

Tangle Teezer : No ordinary brush
"That's why her hair's so big.... it's full of secrets."
I’m gonna say it straight up - I love big hair. I don't care if it's associated with girls who have more air in their head than brains, for me backcombing is an almost daily activity. I saw this bottle in Boots and I had to try it out.

How does it work?
To use it, you spray it into the areas you want to boost and “jshush” it up. Seriously, these are the actual instructions on the bottle! I've never known how to spell jshush before..Read Full Post
