Nude nails are a favourite nail look of mine. They go with everything! Whether you're wearing your work smarts or your out-out disco pants, nude nails add a touch of class to all occasions.
Plus they hide a multitude of nail sins in that a carefree "oh my nails are totes naturally like this" way. An absolute blessing for a girl like me who removes her own Shellac and ends up with unsightly glue stains for weeks...
But too much plain can get boring. No one wants to be vanilla all the time.
The answer is simple.
JUST ADD SPRINKLES.
So here we go, my quick summer update for nude nails inspired by ice cream.
And yes, there is a quick way to get this look which does NOT involve drawing on each individual sprinkle yourself.
What did I use?

Four things.
Its Easter. I love Nail Polish. I love Mini Eggs. I LOVE NAIL POLISH THAT LOOKS LIKE MINI EGGS.
So welcome to my Easter special post which will be unashamedly full of excited capitals and references to mini eggs (affectionately known to me as meggs) - if you dun know - get to know.
Anyway! Ever since Illamasqua launched their Speckled nail polish, I have been absolutely hankering for a bottle (or three) of that subtly mottled nail paint in pastel colours.
But for those of you who, like me, already own enough nail polish to repaint a WHOLE car, buying more nail polish is probably not the best way to keep the bank balance healthy. It's £14.50 a bottle! You don't need to be an accountant to know that shiz does not bode well for your finances.
SO. Typical Face Value style, I'm going to show you a nice little DIY I did yesterday. It's an easy way to do speckled nails with the polish you've probably already got.
My take on Speckled Nails is a slightly less subtle (but more fun!) version of the original - it's actually coloured glitter sandwiched between pastel coats cos these babies are GOING OUT OUT with me tonight.
It's so simple and so easy - here's how I did it.....

Easter Special: DIY Speckle Nails
So here it is, my first Face Of The Day post. Except, I'm not doing Face Of The Day, I'm doing Face Of Last Night - because judging by the way last night went, you do nahhhhht wanna see this morning's Face.
For those new to what Face Of The Day is - basically, I upload a makeup look and then discuss it! I'll talk about the products I used, how I applied them plus any FaceValue tips I have - alllllll sprinkled with colourful exclamation marks and lame attempts at being funny. HOORAY.
Right - let's go - my first Face Of The Day...
Quite a typical going out-out look for me - dramatic eyes, defined brows, contouring and a punchy lip - a wholeeee lotta slap to be fair.
So what am I wearing???

My first FOTD: I'm going out-out.
Thursday's are the new Fridays and this lip lacquer is THE best companion for any party girl.
In stark comparison to yesterday's Kiss, this colour screams 'MUM! IM GOING OUT OUT' and subsequently runs out of the house on its platform heels with no jacket on despite the fact it's minus degrees outside... Sound familiar to anyone?
This is the Barry M Lip Lacquer Crayon - one of five intensely glossy crayons in a range of glittery colours. OoooOOooh.
Subtley is not the aim here ladies, these crayons are out to SHOCK. AND. AWE.
You don't 'apply' this, you wap it on, slick it on, slap it on - BOOM!

A bright, glossy and glittery fuchsia, this shade is aptly named Party Pink.
Vibrant and unapologetic, it's certainly not for the subtle beauties who like to keep it looking natural.
