When it comes to eyeshadows and the best quality eyeshadow palettes, Urban Decay is a bit of a fail safe for me. Their eyeshadows are often that lovely soft, almost buttery, kind of powder which makes blending and application an absolute breeeeze.

Urban Decay Cosmetics are probably most known for their Naked eyeshadow palettes - a range of wearable neutrals in different warm/cool tones, but what about their more creative, adventurous colours?

21 Eyeshadow Swatches! Urban Decay Full Spectrum Palette review

The sun is FINALLY here. BRITISH SUMMERTIME HAS BEGUN. What a shame I am still pasty and pale faced as ever. Not for long though, thanks to the Urban Decay summer collection. A wonderful bundle of goodies landed through my letterbox and in 15 minutes my skin has gone from pale and hungover to bronzed and glowing.

Bronzed and golden has had a bit of a bad rap in the past from the fake-tan, orange oompa-lompa brigade but you'll be pleased to know that these gave me a natural-looking glow in no time at all. I've officially got my summer makeup sorted. Read on and find out which products are transforming my face right now.

Summer Makeup Sorted With Urban Decay Cosmetics

Oh mannn, packing is a HASSLE isn't it? I'm a fan of always being prepared so, in an ideal world, I'd just bring everything. However, if I was to be REASONABLE for once, I would realise that I have both space and time constraints so I've managed to pick and pack the best of my beauty collection.

That aside, I've still packed the biggest beauty bag ever, so today I'll just run you through the highlights - the ultimate essentials for a week like LFW!

My London Fashion Week Beauty Essentials!

So it's been a lucky week for me, not only did I win the biggest blogging gig of my life, I was also lucky enough to win a brand new (limited edition!) Urban Decay eyeshadow palette from London Beauty Queen. Cheers LBQ!

And it's not just any Naked basics palette though, it's the limited edition Pulp Fiction palette, beautifully inscribed with Pulp Fiction quotes and 90’s graphics.

Isn’t it BEAUTIFUL?! I only got it yesterday but I couldn't wait to crack it open and give it a go. Consider this post hot off the press!

Up Close & Personal

The Pulp Fiction palette is basically 5 eyeshadows - 3 general use shadows, a highlighter and a liner. Let’s just take a minute to truly appreciate how GOOD Urban Decay eyeshadows are. Butter soft and supremely blendable, Urban Decay eyeshadows are really long lasting and a joy to use!

It comes with a great double ended brush. Seriously! Normally palette and gift set brushes are just rubbish, but this one is one I’ll be using everytime.

It’s got a fluffy, yet dense, shadow brush on one end and a firmer, thinner, slightly pointed liner brush on the other.

This Urban Decay Pulp Fiction palette also comes with a little How-To for your Mia Wallace look. Essentially it’s a medium impact cut crease with darker winged corners. And it looks a little something like this…

How-to Honey Bunny?

I applied Righteous, the cream colour, all over the lid up to the brow bone, followed by the bronze shade, Tyranny, all over the lid up to the crease.

Next, the darkest brown, Vengance, goes in the corners and smudged into lower lashes. The Furious black liner was winged out using the liner brush damp. Finally the white Anger highlighter is applied under the brow and in the corners of eyes.

There’s more in the Pulp Fiction collection too! I've seen a glittery eyeliner, a Mia Wallace Revolution Lipstick and Lipliner by Urban Decay too! The Mia Wallace lipstick is a deep, wine red colour. Here I’ve used the Smashbox Longwear Lip Colour in Mulberry, which is a lovely plummy burgundy.

This Pulp Fiction look is super easy to recreate – just don’t forget to blend any hard edges with a small, fluffy brush! The blending brush by E.L.F cosmetics is great for this.

And there we go honey bunnies – a quick play with the Pulp Fiction palette by Urban Decay. For £17.50, I’d get it because it’s also a good travel palette for me. The browns can be used to contour and there’s a liner and highlighter too. It would have been perfect if it had come with a different texture in the box too – like another shimmer shade perhaps. I love a multi-tasking palette though!

What do you think? Is this one for your list?!
HAPPY WEEKEND! Hope it's a lucky one for you.

Modern-day Mia Wallace: Urban Decay Pulp Fiction Palette

Hola Face Value friends! Today's makeup look is a rose gold inspired face. Think burnt copper, crushed gemstones, glints of champagne reflected by candlelight - today's makeup look is Summer's answer to smokey eyes and is perfect for a dinner date or a cheeky stopover at a chic wine bar.

Rose gold can be flattering on so many skintones and it's not just for your cheeks or lips. I never really wear colour on my eyes but rose gold is so subtle - it's almost like taupe and it really works!

I'll be honest, when I first tried it, I just looked massively boooooozed (thanks, asian drinking genes!) but with the right balance of smoke and definition ie superfine eyeliner and a coat of fluttery mascara, it's really very, very easy.

Today, I've gone for rose-tinted eyeshadow, with a flush of rose on the cheeks, and a shimmery champagne rose gold on the lips.

And the real beauty is ...I've only used 2 products to achieve it!

What did I use?

Summer Smokey Eye: A Rose Gold Look feat. Lush Emotional Brilliance

Today's review has generated a lot of questions from my Instagram and Facebook followers. Mainly, ZOE, WHAT IS THIS and WHERE DID YOU GET IT FROM?

Seasoned beauty fiends out there are probably laughing to themselves at the ignorance of it all - it's CLEARLY an Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. These Naked Palettes have been flying off shelves for months now, ready to cover the nearest eyelids with glorious, glorious rose-toned bronze.

But is it a Naked 3? Look closely.... You doubt yourselves now, don't you?

Well, what if I told you, it will cost you exactly £3.63 to purchase today.

Yahh, it's definitely NOT by Urban Decay then...

The Story.

T-Mart Generation 3 Eyeshadow Palette - a Naked 3 dupe under £5!

As you may have seen from my 28kisses lip challenge, I am sliiightly addicted to lip products - lipsticks, lip stain, lip gloss - anything that helps my mouth detract from my awwwwwful jokes is good with me!!

And so - I just HAD to mention this aptly named product - the Lip Junkie lipgloss by Urban Decay.

It's slick, it's shiny and most importantly IT LOOKS AWESOME!  It looks like a lipgloss version of a jewelled sword. A perfect weapon of choice for shiny lips.
MWAHA! Bad joke number one..

Are you hooked? Urban Decay Lip Junkie

So here it is, my first Face Of The Day post. Except, I'm not doing Face Of The Day, I'm doing Face Of Last Night - because judging by the way last night went, you do nahhhhht wanna see this morning's Face.

For those new to what Face Of The Day is - basically, I upload a makeup look and then discuss it! I'll talk about the products I used, how I applied them plus any FaceValue tips I have - alllllll sprinkled with colourful exclamation marks and lame attempts at being funny. HOORAY.

Right - let's go - my first Face Of The Day...

Quite a typical going out-out look for me - dramatic eyes, defined brows, contouring and a punchy lip - a wholeeee lotta slap to be fair.

So what am I wearing???

My first FOTD: I'm going out-out.

There has been a lot of talk about the Urban Decay Naked Basics eye palette and believe me – there’s going to be an equal amount of ooohing over the new Naked Flushed cheek compact from Urban Decay.

LOOK HOW PRETTY IT IS!

With a contour, colour and highlighter all in one convenient compact, this is the one-stop shop for pretty cheek perfection.

Perfect for doing your face on the go, OR for girls who just don't have enough space to hoard separate products. Here's how I do it...
