Growing up in the 90s, it will come as no surprise to you that I was (and am still) a huge Spice Girls fan. Who was my favourite Spice? Posh of course. It's been amazing to watch Victoria Beckham go from plastic WAG fantastic to eternally-chic fashion designer and general style inspiration (via that song that she did with Dane Bowers - what a gem) And..... although I'm a lot older now, I'm still partial to a bit of merchandise.

Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder : What To (Calmly) Buy
The sun is FINALLY here. BRITISH SUMMERTIME HAS BEGUN. What a shame I am still pasty and pale faced as ever. Not for long though, thanks to the Urban Decay summer collection. A wonderful bundle of goodies landed through my letterbox and in 15 minutes my skin has gone from pale and hungover to bronzed and glowing.
Bronzed and golden has had a bit of a bad rap in the past from the fake-tan, orange oompa-lompa brigade but you'll be pleased to know that these gave me a natural-looking glow in no time at all. I've officially got my summer makeup sorted. Read on and find out which products are transforming my face right now.

Summer Makeup Sorted With Urban Decay Cosmetics
After a couple of hair posts, I’m back to my original love which is MAKEUP. Today’s cosmetically focused post is about two amazing Charlotte Tilbury products that I got over Xmas.
Why do I think they're an amazing beauty buy? First of all, they’re rose gold and look incredible. Secondly, they make my face look incredible too. Winning combination methinks! Charlotte Tilbury makeup is such a luxury for me and I'm desperate to expand my collection (though I’m far too tight to buy it for myself lol)

Summer makeup for me is all about the glow. No, not the J-Lo perfume I wore when I was like 15 (lol), I'm thinking shimmery bronzed skin and dewy metallic cheeks. Beach and cocktails not mandatory but preferred.
For a healthy glow, cream blush is often the best but my oily skin is fussy and prefers a powder. So powder bronzer/highlighters trial it is then!

MAC Skinfinish Dupe From The Beauty Aisle At Tesco
As a self-confessed flat face, I'm a huge fan of contouring and highlighting. I've reviewed lots of blushers and bronzers which I use for the contouring part and now, it's time for the bright side!
When it comes to highlighters, there are so many types available it's hard to decide. Cream highlighters, powder highlighters - gold toned, pink toned - where do we begin? Do we need so many? Why does it come in so many colours?
Never fear my pretties, I'm here to lay it allllll down. If you are new to the world of highlighting - check out my MUA powder highlighter review and my Where To Apply Touche Eclat for my attempt to draw diagrams...!
But if you're a seasoned highlighting pro, you know as well as I do that you want, desire and NEED the whole range of highlighters in your arsenal. Are you missing anything?
Here's my pick of the bunch.
Why so many highlighters?

Highlighter Highlights: Cream vs Powder? Benefit or MUA?
As a big makeup fan, messing around with new makeup is always fun and when Glo Minerals asked me to create a "Pretty In Pink" look using their mineral-based makeup range, I was like ch-YEAH.
Glo Minerals then sent me three great products to use and I spent yesterday morning messing around with them. It's a bit like that round on Masterchef or Ready Steady Cook where the chefs are given some ingredients and expected to make a masterpiece. But was my look going to be Pretty Pinky or Pretty Stinky?
What have we got and how did I use them??

Apologies, that was poor - moving on - these are the products I was sent!

Glo Minerals : Pretty In Pink Makeup Look
The morning-after-the-night-before is anything but pretty. Late nights and excessive merrymaking can be a challenge on even the most perfect skin and when you're half asleep and not feeling 100%, looking pretty can be.... tricky.
Even normally, sculpting your cheeks these days can be complicated. First you have to apply your colour, and then use highlighter across the cheekbones, and if you've really got some time - a darker blush in the hollows. Like I said, perfect cheeks can be complicated!
But of course, as with most complicated things, it's not long before the human race finds a simpler, easier way to do it and this No7 Instant Radiance Blush is a prime example of our modern evolution. Well done us.
Isn't it gorgeous? This is the Instant Radiance Blush palette from No7 and , believe me, it's more than just a pretty picture.

London Fashion Week. A glittering of flashbulbs lights up London. Reams and reams of makeup used in one day. Hair straightened, curled and straightened again. A million outfits worn and discarded ....and that's just my bedroom!
LFW is a hive of activity, and I'm a fan of always being prepared for anything. Who knows, you could blag a last minute invite to a show or after-party - anything could happen!
So what do I arm myself with during the week? These are my top five products to see your Fashion Week face through any activity.

What do they all have in common? They're all iconic beauty classics which have stood the test of time. And today I'm reviewing another trusted classic which I had actually never tried before until last year! Yes team, today I'm talking about the legendary Yves St Laurent Touche Eclat highlighter pen.
This is apparently the UK's number one selling luxury beauty product with one Touche Eclat being sold across the world every ten seconds. Ten seconds! By the time you finish reading this, about 10 more people will have bought one.
What does it do?

A cult classic! YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Complexion Highlighter
Following on from my previous lip contouring post, I thought I'd tell you about one of my favourite highlighters.
No, I'm not talking neon coloured pens and plenty of 'i'm revising, not procrastinating honest!'. I'm talking shimmery pearlescent powders or creams which catch the light and bring a touch of radiance to the skin.
This fabulous Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter from MakeUp Academy (MUA) was given me to the equally fabulous Miff from Blot & Reapply as part of a blog swap. Please do check out her blog!
I'd always wanted to try it. A lot of bloggers have been raving about it and it's only £3!
But does it work as well as the more expensive highlighters our there?

I've used liquid highlighters before like Benefit Highbeam and YSL Touche Eclat but I prefer a powder like MAC Mineralize Skinfinish as I have combination/oily skin and a tendency to freak out over anything that will potentially block my skin.
The MAC Mineralize Skinfinish retails at £22 though - which may be outside some budgets I know - so FEAR NOT.
Here's a fabulous alternative which (in my opinion) works just as well.

So here it is, my first Face Of The Day post. Except, I'm not doing Face Of The Day, I'm doing Face Of Last Night - because judging by the way last night went, you do nahhhhht wanna see this morning's Face.
For those new to what Face Of The Day is - basically, I upload a makeup look and then discuss it! I'll talk about the products I used, how I applied them plus any FaceValue tips I have - alllllll sprinkled with colourful exclamation marks and lame attempts at being funny. HOORAY.
Right - let's go - my first Face Of The Day...
Quite a typical going out-out look for me - dramatic eyes, defined brows, contouring and a punchy lip - a wholeeee lotta slap to be fair.
So what am I wearing???
